• Customer is a china multinational retailer and the eighth largest retailer in china by revenue, operating in more than 30 citys.

• In china, large discount stores operate under the name of a group that owns and operates shopping malls, retail and leisure facilities.

Customer Objectives

• Separated from the shopping area, the self-checkout kiosk system was installed in the snack corner where you can purchase convenience foods such as salads and sandwiches in large discount stores and eat them on the spot to promote customer convenience.

Challenges

• They demanded a kiosk system equipped with a stable hardware system so that there would be no friction with the system operated by existing large discount stores.
• It was hoped that the kiosk would also have multiple options, similar to the payment environment of large discount stores.
• We wanted to install a kiosk that is equipped with all self-checkout functions, but is not bulky.

Solutions

• It is equipped with a high-spec processor required for the self-checkout function, and MSR, barcode reader, and local payment module that can be applied to various payment environments of large discount stores are all applied.
• 24″ Self service kiosk was selected to minimize the installation space.
